The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Soldiers Table

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a wide array of characters, and a gripping narrative including angels, fiends, and malevolent powers increasing in influence within the city.

Warning: Revealing details for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

Episode 3 ended with a dramatic pause and presented the first table of heroes who will split off from the main group to embark on their independent quest, separate from the other two tables.

The combat-focused team consists of Teor (brought to life by Travis), Thimble (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

With 13 cast members, it was evident from the beginning that keeping everyone at one table would be unworkable.

Hence, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, intertwining the personal journeys before dividing into three distinct groups: Warriors, Schemers, and Questers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

Per the DM, the Soldiers table is for players who enjoy a traditionally charged battle-oriented narrative style where non-violent answers are scarce.

At first glance, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might look unsuited, but the events of the latest installment show why these specific adventurers are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the party knows exactly where to head next after a brutal first encounter with the antagonists.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose demise started the campaign’s events—used the enemy for his selfish purposes, invading the hidden lair, assaulting the rogue, and stealing all the magical artifacts to sell off.

The antagonist then cleared his liabilities and escaped to a secure base in the northern region, north of Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Secondly, each member has a personal reason to leave the city the urban setting:

  • The agile hero, as the close ally and trusted friend, wants revenge.
  • The knowledgeable figure knows the region and warns that it is a dangerous location.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to kill the target and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
  • But, their position as key figures in the influential clan could enable the team enter areas they normally couldn’t.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character swore a unbreakable promise to The savior for his salvation and will now follow him everywhere.

Fugitives

Finally, all of them are wanted by the rulers that rule Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • The rogue and The character are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and Wicander turned against House Halovar and the army of fiends they are allied with.
  • The fighter is targeted for elimination by the family.

This means them little choice but to travel to the northern region in quest for the antagonist.

Upcoming Developments

Based on the recent installment’s Cooldown, we learn that the warrior group will not appear next week, leaving the other eight participants to round up the Explorers and Schemers parties.

Fans can look forward to learning which characters will be where in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
